All Saints Day falls on Friday November 1st and All Souls Day falls on Saturday November 2nd this year. Because our traditions have similarities to the Mexican tradition of Dios de la Muertos (Day of the Dead) the Disney/Pixar movie COCO (2017) is a perfect choice. Bring a picture of a deceased loved one for the ofrenda. The tradition also includes putting something on the ofrenda that was a favorite of your loved one. (I'm bringing strawberries for my Grandma and chicken treats for Nacho) The discussion after the movie will be about both our traditions. Guests with Mexican heritage have been invited. An added bonus for the singers is movie won the Oscar for Best Song so feel free to sing along!

Arrive at 6:30 pm for hot buttered popcorn. Bring your favorite movie snacks and soft drinks to share. Don't forget to bring a friend or two. Children bring your blankets and pillow!
